New York City!

On Saturday, John, Karen, Elijah and I went to New York!! :)) It was approximately a two and a half hour road trip to New York! We parked the car outside the city and went with a bus to NY. First we went with the subway to the 9/11 memorial. We went to a small church first, where a first aid was situated on 9/11. Then we went to a restaurant, which was used as a first aid then. After that we went to the 9/11 memorial! It was really interesting and impressive to see it. We made some pictures there and after that we went further. We walked further to Battery Park, where you could go on the boat to Ellis island and the Statue of Liberty. We did not go on the boat, because it would take like 3 hours or something and we still wanted to see a lot. So we made some pictures from a distance, though still beautiful! I liked to see the Statue of Liberty, although I would like to go back sometime to go on the boat to see the Statue of Liberty from a closer distance. So something new on my wishlist! :) After that we walked further, to the financial part of NY (Wall Street), where the stock exchange is situated. After that we went to Central Park! The Plaza hotel is situated on Fifth avenue and I think that it is a beautiful, though really expensive hotel! We went in there and I made some pictures! We also went to the Apple Store, which was a really cool store because it was under the ground. It was busy there and I think the main reason for that was because there was free wifi! ;) We also made use of that and I even could charge my phone for a while, because the battery was low because of all the pictures I made so far! We also went to a toy store with even a candy shop in there! We also went to Bloomingdale's, but I'm not sure when that was so I just tell it now. Bloomingdale's is a really expensive shop with all kinds of brands, like Marc Jacobs, etc. After the toy shop, we went to Rockefeller! Where the Christmas tree is situated, when it is Christmas of course! It started to rain, so we went to Time Square to eat something at the McDonalds! Time Square was really busy, though I liked it with all the lights. There were all kind of Disney figures, like Mickey and Minnie, walking on Time Square and you could go on a picture of them, though you have to pay for it. So I went on a picture with two New York Police officers. :) We went to the Disney shop and after that we walked back to the bus station. It was a long, but really nice day and I really enjoyed it! Hopefully, I will go there back some time, because it is a beautiful city! (Hint, hint .. ;))

Linde, dit was volgens ons toch echt wel een dag voor jou met een gouden randje: New York. Iets wat je heel graag wilde. Leuk om D.m.v. Je verhaal en de foto's te kunnen meegenieten.
Wat we ook heel fijn vinden is dat je ook tijd neemt om lekker met Elija te spelen en te knutselen. Geniet nog van de dagen die komen gaan en tot gauw. Liefs papa en mama.

gisterenavond met Bente je foto's bekeken, heel indrukwekkend. Je hebt wel een "superstage" volgens mij. Wat veel gezien en gedaan in eigenlijk een paar dagen. Hoe was de Mac "supersize" of hetzelfde als hier... Je boft natuurlijk wel met je "gastouders" die je zoveel kunnen laten zien. We lezen met veel plezier je verhalen en natuurlijk nog een super tijd geniet ervan.... Tot binnenkort weer. Hetty -
